15 PROPOSITIONS HEAD TO THE SAN FRANCISCO NOVEMBER BALLOT
In an already crowded midterm election filled with state and federal races, statewide propositions, and even-district supervisor races, San Francisco voters now add a whopping 15 ballot measures to that list. Of course, the staggering amount of measures heading to the ballot is on-brand for San Francisco, as the City has voted on 111 local ballot measures over the past decade. In November, San Francisco residents will weigh in on various issues pivotal to the City’s future, including competing housing measures, an assortment of tax proposals, a few JFK Drive-related measures, and everything else in between.
SUPERVISOR CANDIDATES DISCUSS THEIR VISION FOR SAN FRANCISCO

sf.citi kicked off our Candidate Conversation series with District 4 supervisor candidate Joel Engardio and District 6 supervisor candidate Honey Mahogany. We were joined by sf.citi members AT&T, Comcast, Okta, Meta, Microsoft, Twitter, Verizon, and more.
In Joel and Honey’s conversations with sf.citi members, each candidate detailed their campaign platforms and how they plan to address the City’s most pressing issues. Each candidate focused on improving public safety, revitalizing downtown, building more housing, and addressing the opioid crisis. The candidates recognized the difficult task at hand to improve the City, but they each emphasized a belief that San Francisco is worth fixing and that its best days are ahead.
SAN FRANCISCO MOVES FORWARD ON SAFE CONSUMPTION SITES
In the wake of Governor Newsom’s decision to veto Senate Bill 57, which would have legalized safe consumption sites at the state level, San Francisco officials announced a plan to support a nonprofit-run safe consumption site in the City. Despite a ban on Safe consumption sites at a federal level under the Controlled Substances Act, the federal government is expected to release guidelines about operating consumption sites as part of a settlement in a Philadelphia case. With promising news expected from the federal level and two overdose prevention models to study in Philadelphia and New York City, San Francisco leaders believe that a safe consumption site can successfully work in the City.
