This spring sf.citi members have been meeting with local elected officials representing San Francisco and major cities like Los Angeles and New York. We’re listening, learning, and finding creative ways for tech and cities to collaborate.
sf.citi Members Talk Smart Cities with LA Mayor Eric Garcetti
Fresh off his re-election as mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti paid sf.citi members a visit on Tuesday. The Mayor and representatives from Amazon, Zoox, Getaround, Lyft, and others gathered around our conference table to talk about what makes a smart city, how L.A. encourages innovation, and the role of city governments in shaping our economic future. Thanks to all who participated in this engaging conversation.
The meeting was part of our new series of Tech Roundtables with leaders from around the country. Make sure your company has a seat at the table by joining sf.citi today.
sf.citi Members Meet with Supervisor Katy Tang
sf.citi’s Lunch and Learn series brings our members together with local leaders to discuss policy issues and learn from one another over lunch. Our goal is to facilitate better understanding and communication between local government and industry leaders — something we felt happened in a big way when our members met San Francisco Supervisor Katy Tang earlier this month. Lyft hosted the discussion, which touched on housing policy, San Francisco’s business climate, and many more issues. Thank you to Supervisor Tang for her time and to our members for joining us.
We have more Lunch and Learns scheduled throughout 2017. Interested in participating? Become a member today.
We are looking for a new member of our team to help grow our organization. Our Membership Coordinator will focus primarily on recruiting new companies while maintaining relationships with existing members through engagement and support. The person who will really thrive in this job is an energetic, independent thinker who is able to create, execute, and iterate on initiatives and ideas with our small but growing team.
