CITY ATTORNEY DAVID CHIU OUTLINES HIS NEW RESPONSIBILITIES

sf.citi continued our 2022 Lunch and Learn discussion series with San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu. We were joined by sf.citi members Airbnb, Comcast, Goodcover, Google, Intuit, Meta, Microsoft, Okta, Pinterest, Twitter, Verizon, Waymo, Zoox, and more.
In Chiu’s fourth sf.citi Lunch and Learn—but first, as City Attorney—he discussed the focus of his new office and the outsized role it plays as the state’s largest city attorney’s office. City Attorney Chiu focused on government corruption, the housing and homelessness crisis, street conditions, climate change, civil rights, and consumer protection over his first few months. But those issues area can quickly change, noted Chiu, who said his office is prepared to act as the front line of defense if imminent changes to issues such as abortion rights, gun control, and data privacy occur.

We understand that voting can be overwhelming, but we already did the heavy lifting for you in our June 2022 Voter Guide, providing easy-to-digest explanations and recommendations for all eight local ballot measures.
