CORPORATE ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY WITH SAN FRANCISCO SCHOOLS
With back to school in full swing, it’s the perfect time to get your company involved with the corporate volunteer program at Circle the Schools (CTS). Companies involved with CTS will work with sf.citi’s partner, the San Francisco Education Fund, to develop volunteer programs that maximize and leverage their time, talent, and resources to benefit partner San Francisco public schools. Become a part of the movement of San Francisco companies reinventing the model of corporate engagement in public schools by joining the CTS program.
GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY ON THE 9/11 NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE

Over the past 21 years, the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks has been transformed into the largest Day of Service in America, better known as “9/11 Day,” recognized under federal law. To observe this national day of service, the 9/11 Day organization leads a coordinated effort throughout the country to help Americans put aside any differences, join together in unity, and spend time engaging in charitable service, volunteering, or doing good deeds during the day for others. As a proud 9/11 Day partner, we invite you to join individuals across the country in pledging to do at least one good deed on or around 9/11.
JUDGE TOSSES FLAWED AMAZON TAX FROM THE SAN FRANCISCO BALLOT
After spending almost half a million dollars to place Proposition K on the ballot, the measure’s proponents—affordable housing organization TODCO and its director, John Elberling—sought the court’s approval to remove the tax measure from the November ballot. The proponents course-corrected on Proposition K after critics revealed that the measure would primarily tax small businesses and not Amazon as they initially intended. Despite the judge’s decision to toss the measure, critics say the Proposition K diabolical highlights the complicated yet absurd nature of the City’s ballot measure process that allows political interest groups to place poorly written measures on the ballot.
