Tony Xu, co-founder of food delivery startup, DoorDash, immigrated from China to the U.S. when he was 5, and his family lived on food stamps when they first arrived. Today, DoorDash is valued at about $700 million and employs hundreds of employees and tens of thousands of contractors across the country.
