Happy December!
To kick off the holiday season, sf.citi shares our partnership with the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program, and we welcome a new member company, Brigade. We wish you all a happy holidays and encourage you to give back to your community in any way that you can.
The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program
The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program serves over 40,000 kids each year by collecting donated toys and distributing them to children in need. The program ensures that no child is without a toy during the holiday season. This year, our member companies will be hosting collection barrels in their offices where employees can donate toys all month long. We are excited to help support such an amazing program!
There are several ways that people can contribute to the Toy Program:
- Host a toy collection barrel in your office.
- Donate online at www.sffirefighterstoys.org – All San Francisco Fire Stations are a drop off point for collecting toys. It’s a great way to visit a SF Fire Station and donate!
- Volunteer – The Toy Program is now scheduling volunteer day for companies that would like to get a first-hand view of what the Toy Program is really about. Each day a different firehouse cooks lunch for the volunteers and everyone is welcome to sing karaoke and have fun!
The children being served range from infants to 13 year olds. New toys that are unwrapped are accepted. If you would like to host a toy collection barrel please contact info@sfciti.org. The Toy Program is a huge success because of all of the donors, volunteers and supporters!
Welcome new sf.citi member Brigade
Based here in San Francisco, Brigade is the world’s first voter network, designed to let people who are interested in issues and politics engage in civil discussion and debate. Their platform gives users tools to work with fellow voters to influence policies and elections that impact their lives. A large portion of Brigade’s employees, including their executive team, are San Francisco natives, making their company’s impact closer to home. Many of their employees volunteer with organizations in the community that work with underserved and at-risk youth.
We are excited to have Brigade on board and look forward to working with them!
