ZOOX’S PHIL PIERCE NAMED sf.citi VICE CHAIR
We’re proud to announce that Phil Pierce of Zoox will serve as sf.citi’s next Vice Chair. Phil has been a strong leader in San Francisco’s tech community, and we’re excited for his continued impact in this new role. Zoox is rapidly scaling its autonomous vehicle operations, joining fellow sf.citi member Waymo in setting the standard for safe and innovative rides in San Francisco. We look forward to all that Phil will bring to the board and to our city’s tech ecosystem.
VERIZON HELPS 49ERS FOUNDATION RAISE $1.4M
Last week, Verizon helped power the 49ers Foundation’s Players for a Purpose event at Levi’s Stadium, raising $1.4 million for Bay Area nonprofits. Beneficiaries included 826 Valencia and 49ers EDU, which provide critical educational resources to local youth. Verizon’s ongoing commitment—through sponsorships, community engagement, and the work of its Innovation Lab—sets a strong example of how tech companies can give back to the communities they serve.
WAYMO EXPANDS SAFE RIDES ACROSS THE BAY AREA
Waymo is expanding rapidly in the Bay Area, reinforcing its role as a leader in both innovation and safety.
