MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: GOOGLE.ORG’S PARTNERSHIP WITH TRUST YOUTH INITIATIVE DRIVES SUCCESS
In light of recent press, we’re proud to recognize the continued impact of the Trust Youth Initiative, supported by a $2.9 million contribution from Google.org. Launched last year in partnership with Larkin Street Youth Services and San Francisco’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, this groundbreaking program provides direct cash assistance to at-risk young adults, helping them secure housing, pursue education, and achieve their goals. Larkin Street, a long-time sf.citi tech volunteerism partner under the leadership of Executive Director Sherilyn Adams, continues to demonstrate the effectiveness of this innovative approach to addressing youth homelessness. Google’s backing of this program underscores its commitment to leveraging tech and resources for impactful social change.
OPENAI BOOSTS SAN FRANCISCO’S OFFICE MARKET & FUTURE
sf.citi member OpenAI’s massive expansion in Mission Bay, with a new lease bringing their total footprint to nearly 1 million square feet, is a major win for San Francisco. As the city faces record-high office vacancies, OpenAI’s continued investment is a clear sign that the tech industry remains committed to San Francisco’s future. This deal not only fills a critical gap in the city’s office market but also signals confidence in San Francisco as a hub for innovation and growth. By anchoring themselves in the city, we’re proud that OpenAI is helping to draw more talent, create jobs, and energize the local economy, positioning San Francisco’s tech sector—and sf.citi’s members—as key drivers of the city’s resurgence.
