A FOND FAREWELL TO OUR VICE CHAIR
Kate O’Sullivan
After nearly two decades at Microsoft—and many years of dedicated service on the sf.citi board—our Vice Chair Kate O’Sullivan is moving on to a new chapter in her life. As Microsoft’s longtime representative, Kate has been a trusted voice in San Francisco’s tech community and a key leader in shaping our organization’s direction and priorities. Her thoughtful approach and steady leadership have helped strengthen sf.citi’s role as a convener and connector between the tech sector and civic life. While Microsoft will continue to be a valued member, Kate’s presence on the board will be greatly missed.
AI AT CITY HALL, POWERED BY
MICROSOFT & OPENAI
San Francisco took a major step forward this month as Mayor Daniel Lurie announced the rollout of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat for nearly 30,000 city employees.Powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o and backed by Microsoft’s enterprise-level privacy and security, Copilot Chat will help city workers—from nurses to analysts—spend less time on admin tasks and more time serving residents. With this rollout, San Francisco becomes the largest U.S. city to deploy generative AI across government, setting a new national standard for responsible AI use in the public sector.
