HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR FROM ALL OF US AT sf.citi
On behalf of sf.citi, we’re proud to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake) and honor our Asian communities, whose rich traditions continue to shape and strengthen San Francisco’s cultural landscape. The city’s rich cultural fabric is on full display over the next couple of weeks, especially during the iconic Chinese New Year Festival & Parade. As an organization at the intersection of tech and civic life, we encourage our members to join us in supporting local businesses, nonprofits, and cultural institutions that bring these celebrations to life. By coming together in the spirit of renewal and unity that the Lunar New Year symbolizes, we strengthen the bond between the tech sector and the communities that shape our city’s vibrant heritage.
MAJOR-TECH EVENTS AHEAD
San Francisco’s tourism and convention sector is gradually regaining momentum, and we’re excited for the major events slated this year. Kicking off with the RSA Conference in April, cybersecurity experts and thought leaders will converge in San Francisco to discuss emerging threats and digital security solutions. In June, the Data + AI Summit comes to the Moscone Center to offer insights to attendees into how new AI technologies are reshaping industries worldwide. Dreamforce 2025 is back in full force come October, drawing thousands of Salesforce devotees eager to collaborate, learn, and experience new product announcements. Later in October, the city welcomes TechCrunch Disrupt in the fall, fostering a dynamic environment for startups, investors, and media seeking the next big breakthrough. Finally, Microsoft Ignite returns to San Francisco for the first time in nearly three decades, uniting developers and decision-makers for a glimpse at the future of productivity and innovation.
MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER IN 2025
As we enter 2025, we’re navigating a rapidly shifting tech and political landscape—locally and nationally. While federal policies remain uncertain and may impact our innovation ecosystem, here in San Francisco, Mayor Daniel Lurie’s swearing-in signals renewed energy for the tech industry to tackle the challenges and capitalize on opportunities in our city. At sf.citi, our commitment to championing effective, forward-thinking policies is unwavering, and moving forward, we’re more determined than ever to address the most pressing issues affecting San Francisco’s tech community and the wider public. Over the next year, we’ll continue to host inspiring public policy briefings, collaborate with industry leaders, and provide valuable networking opportunities that foster innovation and community. To all our members: thank you for your steadfast support—we look forward to a productive year of forging lasting partnerships and driving meaningful change.
