Join sf.citi for Breaking Into Tech Week—a week of virtual speed networking to connect current and aspiring tech workers. This will be the third year in a row sf.citi is hosting Breaking Into Tech. Given San Francisco’s shelter-in-place mandate for COVID-19, our 2020 edition will be entirely online.
For the past two years, sf.citi has hosted our tremendously popular Breaking Into Tech speed networking event. From April 28–30, job seekers will again have the opportunity to talk to employees at some of San Francisco’s most prominent companies during Breaking Into Tech Week.
This year’s virtual rendition of Breaking Into Tech will carry even greater significance than in years past. Due to the financial impact of COVID-19, record numbers of unemployment claims are being filed weekly in California and elsewhere in the country. Tech is one of few industries continuing to hire amid the pandemic. Over the course of the week, we will explore how the job landscape is changing around COVID-19. Job seekers will then sign up for one of our Breaking Into Tech Breakout Sessions to connect and learn from current tech employees in the Bay Area.

Breaking Into Tech During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Hear hiring experts from HireClub, LinkedIn, and Zendesk discuss how COVID-19 has altered the job landscape within the tech industry and beyond. We’ll learn which fields are likely to grow during and after the pandemic, which companies are hiring, and how to position yourself for career success.

Breaking Into Tech: Breakout Sessions
Sign up for one of our four virtual speed networking sessions to connect with employees at San Francisco’s top tech companies. During each hour-long, virtual breakout session, you will speak to four tech workers representing a variety of departments, levels, and positions. Our Breaking Into Tech Breakout Sessions will be held from 3–4pm and 5–6pm on April 29th and 30th. Please sign up for only one session.
