Transportation

sf.citi aims to make San Francisco a better place to live and work, and therefore, actively promotes improving and strengthening our public and regional transit system. We support efforts that champion new and innovative transportation technologies and plug into the existing network of transit options available to residents and visitors alike.

  • sf.citi encourages the expansion of existing and future alternative modes of transportation – including but not limited to autonomous vehicles, e-scooters, bike share, pooled ride share, and more – to make transportation a more equitable experience for all demographics alike and help bridge the first mile/last mile gap created between a commuter’s transit stop and their final destination
  • sf.citi continues to work on finding solutions to alleviate the increasing rate of traffic congestion in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area through innovative approaches and the improvement of existing systems such as congestion pricing, collaborative partnerships like the Commuter Shuttle Program, and increased investment in the region’s public transportation infrastructure such as Caltrain, Muni, BART, and the addition of more water ferry lines
  • sf.citi endorses prudent transportation and fiscal policies that promote the development, adoption, and acceptance of autonomous vehicles technologies, that help advance the City’s safety, environmental and equity goals. We discourage the creation of undue regulatory and fiscal burdens that deter, hinder, or prohibit the adoption of such technology as it is brought to market
  • sf.citi supports making streets and sidewalks safer and more accessible for all modes of transportation – existing and future – to help reach San Francisco’s Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic fatalities by 2024
